Hi, I am Georgia! Lovely to meet you.
I am an artist based in South East London, originally from North Yorkshire. I have painted my whole life, having taught myself from a very very young age! Although I didn’t take a direct route to being an artist (I studied Philosophy, Politics & Economics at Durham and spent my 20s working as a civil servant), I have continued painting whenever I can - mostly as presents for friends and family - and recently taken the leap to do this full time.
I primarily paint landscapes using acrylic paint and a combination of expressive and detailed brush strokes (or often palette knives or my hands). I absolutely love painting scenes that bring others joy - whether it be a specific place close to their hearts, or the feeling of the painting reminds them of special moments. I am always drawn to evoke the feeling of clarity I have always gained from being in the wide open spaces of nature and I like to use bright, bold colours to capture the attention-grabbing beauty of those places. I think we all deserve a bit of joy and colour in our lives!
